Using a Heritage Super 8 pre. The mics a nicely accurate and uncolored. Using for drum overheads, I find them on the warm darker side. Yet they take eq beautifully! The final verdict in “excellent,”

Took em out of the box for the first time to record some drums and man… side by side with a competitor’s go-to standard microphone, it wasn’t even a close race.
As far as I’m concerned… these are the only drum overhead mics I’ll ever reach for. The terms “BIG / detailed / shimmery” come to mind. None of that harsh high end you get with the cheap stuff (for a steal of a deal, too) and the CLARITY is unmatched by anything even close in price.
Bravo, Roswell. Can’t wait to add more of your products to my collection!

As soon as I received our matched pair of mini K47s we put them up as drum overheads and voila! There is the sound we were wanting. We also use the mini K47 KD and our pair of Delphos II mics all the time. We are hooked on Roswell mics! Can't wait to get the new mini K67x mics too.

These mics (mini K47 pair) work great. They capture every nuance of my grand piano perfectly. I've tried several different setups with them but the one in the picture is giving me the best results so far. The lows, mids, and highs come through great. In fact I really don't even need to add EQ during mixing. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Simply can't beat the price for this quality of mic.

Back for more. The matched pair of Mini K47s went into action for a really special live performance by Joshua Messick, the peerless master of hammered dulcimer. These mics were PERFECT for this performance. Sensitive without being harsh, warm and natural, they were really ideal for this instrument. I’ve been a musician for many years, but only stepped into the world of recording about a year ago. Like many, I began building my mic locker in earnest. I spent many hours researching the best qualities of the top mics and trying to find the few “shining gems” that were available for under 500 bucks. I ending up purchasing several of them. They were ok, but I was still a long ways from the sound I desired. My dilemma was, how could I step up into high quality sound without having a rich man’s wallet? I read all the reviews, watched all the youtube vids, and knew I had to try it. I took a chance, and wow! The mini k 47 took my recordings to a whole new level of fidelity. It has the warmth and smooth presence I was unsuccessfully trying to “EQ” into my recordings with other mics. No more spending hours chasing my tail, attempting to tame overly bright highs and trying to find warmth that just didn’t exist. The quality of sound I’m looking for is there, right from the start, regardless of the application. This mic has set a whole new standard of performance for me that I thought I would never reach without spending thousands of dollars that I dont have. I loved the mic so much, I saved my pennies and bought a stereo pair. Most of my old mics no longer cut it, and have been sold. I have also purchased and built a couple of Matt’s kit mics from microphoneparts.com, and they are also truly outstanding and an incredible bargain. Matt is the microphone god, and he’s doing “God’s work”, sending us “rich guy” microphones for regular guy cash!

Our very first live video broadcast had some technical issues, but sound was not one of them.
