I was looking for a good mic mainly for acoustic guitar recording but also good for vocals as well. Just by chance I ran across the mini K47 and the good reviews on it and the company itself. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with Roswell and this mic. I love the sound I’m getting with little to no EQ. It’s perfect for what I needed in quality and budget. Thanks to Matt and all at Roswell!

Unbelievable quality for the price. Versatile, bold, but not harsh. Will buy again...

I absolutely would recommend this mic! I was looking for a solid microphone for recording vocals and acoustic guitar and the Mini K47 did not disappoint.

The more I've learned about microphones, the more I love Roswell Audio. I've not the stature nor the expertise to comment in any technical detail, other than to say that I can't wait to spend the next few decades recording with this wonderful microphone and I can't wait to see what Matt introduces next!

This mic works well on everything but I love the clarity on vocals. You don't have to fuss with the mini k47 as much as other mics I used and requires less EQing. Great value!

It sounds great! A huge step up from what I was using, plus the flight case is an added bonus, as I’m moving to and from places regularly with it. Great mic, can’t recommend enough

I'm REALLY happy with my matched pair of Mini K47s. New to home recording, learning as I go, I have a small 9x12 room with a few acoustic panels on the walls, nothing fancy and i'm using a simple 4 mic set up with a Scarlett 18i20 interface. An SM57 on the snare and an Audix D6 outside the kick, most of the sound is coming from the K47's as overheads, and it sounds amazing.
I sent some files to a producer i'm working with on a couple of tunes and he was more than happy which was great to hear.

Love this mic! Will he used in our studio for years to come!

The minik47 mic is a FANTASTIC mic for vocals and acoustic guitar. I've used it everyday since it arrived.

I've had a few dynamic microphones for years that I have experimented with in different applications - mostly speaking and recording acoustic guitar. I am a ham radio operator and I have recorded a few videos (mostly on ham radio/electronics subjects, youtube ch QRP to QRO) so that is where the speaking use of the mics comes in. Specifically with the acoustic guitar - I was never really able to capture the clarity and detail in the sound with any of the mics I've had. There is a saying of "garbage in, garbage out". If I don't have the signal up front from the mic to drive the rest of the chain it won't matter much what I do down the line - I can't recreate what isn't there. I've played around, also, with getting different mic set ups hooked to my ham radio. The two interfaces I have used are a 10ch analog Behringer mixer and a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 GenII. I have never liked the results and connecting everything was cumbersome. So I went looking for a better "sound". I have researched microphones in the past for the same reason, but just couldn't bring myself to make the purchase. A friend of mine has around 40 years experience in live sound/recording for musicians here locally and got me on to the Soundcraft Ui-24r digital mixers and bought one. So I renewed my search for a quality mic to go along with the set up. Some members over at Acoustic Guitar Forums brought up Roswell. I had never heard of them but was more than willing to take their suggestions. After researching and watching the video series, specifically, with Iron Point on comparing/contrasting the MK47 and MK87, as well as reading some more reviews and hearing from the guys at Acoustic Guitar Forums, I decided to purchase the Mini K47. Since my uses of the mic are for speaking and acoustic guitar recording I decided to get the high output option as it will never be exposed to high SPL's. My thoughts, and I checked with Matt on this also, were the same "garbage in, garbage out" theory in that if I can drive the signal from the mic hotter then I don't need to drive it from the preamp. The less preamp I use the lower, in theory, the noise should be. To that point, and after using the mic for a couple weeks now, I am beyond pleased with the performance of the mic. The first time I plugged it in (to the UI-24r, I haven't run it through my other mixer or Scarlett yet) I was amazed how crisp and clear the sound from it was. That was the "sound" I was looking for and was absolutely never able to achieve with the dynamic mics I had been using. I did a couple test recordings with my 12 string (Taylor 356E) guitar (with the on-board recording straight to a USB drive on the Ui-24r) and the detail that was there gave me chills. I hear my guitars one way when I play. The sound the mic picks up adds so much more depth and dimension to the instruments it is absolutely incredible. For example - when you let harmonics ring all the way out to the end the mic is still capturing it. String slap, pick slap, tapping of the body, etc is captured in detail. In fact, I do have to say, that crisp'ness and detail could be a detriment in some applications. I very much agree with Matt's explanation of a microphone being a "tool". There is no one "right tool for everything", rather a "tool for every job". To that point - I would caution anyone looking for a microphone that you can't just pick one mic in all cases. In my case, what I was looking for was exactly the sound I got - the crisp'ness and detail. I am not sure if it is a function of the high output option in my mic, but what ever it is the crisp'ness and detail are a whole other level than where my hopes were and, to me, that works perfectly. One of the best parts about Roswell's products - they are made in the USA! For the price range these microphones are exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate looking to Roswell down the road for another one to add to my "toolbox" of mics.

Great mic - it has dramatically improved my acoustic guitar recordings. Everything just sounds smoother. I really like it for my vocals, as well.

Recorded multiple sources with my new mini k47 and I could not be more pleased with the results. Excellent on acoustic guitars and vocals. Just a unbelievable microphone for the cost.

Matt makes the BEST mics in the industry. Period. His mics capture everything and it make it sound like audio gold.

Love this mic! Sounds natural and transparent. This is my new go-tp vocal mic!!

Our whole experience was PERFECTION! Not only are the microphones AMAZING, this company is top notch! I got an email immediately stating that they received my order. Within that same day, my mics were shipped. Other than Amazon, where else does this happen? Super product, super company, shop here. Even if you don’t need a mic, get one anyway!!!

Purchased this mic as a secondary condenser for recording upright bass. First impression is WOW! I love this mic. The clarity and response is amazing. I'm able to get the great low-end bloom from the upright without it being muddy. Stays really tight and defined while keeping the mids really warm and pleasing. Really looking forward to doing more and more recording with this mic.

The Mini K47 is great. Audio, both instrument and voice, is clean and clear. Although I have a small space, the microphone pattern is able to pick up the intended subject without capturing a lot of reflected sound. The Mic and the shock-mount are very well made, and work perfectly with my Rode desk-mount boom arm. I have yet to try it in a larger space, but am looking forward to the chance to take it on the road.

Sounds great on acoustic guitar and vocals!

As you can probably see from my garbage photo, I have limited space and limited budget for recording. I don't have the money or the storage to buy high-cost, specialist mics. I needed a mic that would record multiple sources well, make up for the deficiencies in the space, and not break my yearly gear budget.
This mic does it all! It's amazing as a drum overhead, warms up the space when recording my guitar and bass, and sounds amazing as a vocal mic, getting rid of the high end harshness I was getting with other mics. It takes EQ like a dream, but it turns out I'm using less EQ because I'm getting such a great sound from the mic itself.
I would recommend this mic to anyone and everyone who is doing recording, podcasting, or even just a lot of video calls. It doesn't take up much space, the mount is solid, and it sounds amazing. What more could you possibly want out of a mic!
John M.
I don't know a whole lot about recording mics, but this little guy packs a punch! Seems super clear, open and pleasing on both my vocals and acoustic guitar. The small size of the mic and the solidity of the shock mount makes it very easy to change mic placement. I'll be able to give greater feedback as I get better at recording, but so far I'm very pleased with what I'm hearing!

I'm not a pro recording engineer or artist, but the personal level of attention and support I received from from Roswell Pro Audio made me feel like I'm just as important! It started with me watching a YouTube video about mic replacement parts that led me to the discovery of RPA. I inquired if I should invest in replacement parts or a new mic, and was directed to the Mini K47. I'm so glad I asked! I don't know what I can say that hasn't already been said about what a great value the MK47 is. That, along with the awesome personal service from a U.S. company gives me no doubt that my money was well spent!
I'll be using it mainly for vocals and acoustic guitars, but feel confident that if I need to mic drums, or cabinets, I'll be ready for just about anything!

I’m a singer/songwriter and have started recording (and in our current world doing Facebook Live and other online performances in lieu of actual live events). I’ve used a great mic up to now (SM58) but wanted the more sensitive response of a condenser mic. The mini K47 appealed because of its advertised smooth frequency response—which has turned out to be exactly right. Vocals are richer, deeper and don’t overemphasize any part of my range. Great mic. I’m very pleased!

I'm liking this mic on my Fender Blues Jr.. Off axis and back a little. I love the tone I get, It's full and punchy and can handle deeper distorted tones and crunchy twangy ones.

My first (and so far my only) Roswell is the K47 Mini and I love it! I've had it on acoustic guitar and as a guitar amp mic from about 12" away... so clear and not muddy like the 57s I've used forever. Helps it out in the mix a lot.
Hope to get one of the vocal mics soon... I'm sure it'll be busy on all my tracks right away.

I just want to tell you my friends and I love the Mini K47. Great job! I have been using several mics at one time on the Marshall and the K47 was perfect balanced the mix.

This is the best mic I’ve used/owned and certainly better than any I know in this price range. Thank you so much.

I've been using my mini k47 non stop, I produced an album containing 13 songs and used the mini k47 on acoustic guitars, electric guitar amps, bass amp , and vocals! Last week I did a drum recording session for another album and this time the mini k47 was our room mic, and it sounded amazing.
